MARYVILLE, Mo. - A Northwest assistant professor has been selected for the Standing Committee on Global Citizenship, a part of the National Council of Teachers in English.
Dr. Lisa Pelkey's appointment was announced in a press release. The NCTE is focused on raising literacy rates is education, and the Committee is dedicated to the education of English in the international community.
Pelkey will remain on the committee until November 2023.
